Help
What the results mean
- Pass: your file meets the rule as the official source states it.
- Fail: your file breaks a rule the source says is required.
- Warning: the rule is a recommendation, applies only to some documents, or official sources disagree.
- Not checked: we couldn’t read what the rule needs (for example, a password-protected file), or the rule can’t be checked automatically. We never guess a pass.
Where the rules come from
Each portal page lists its sources with the date we read them. If we couldn’t confirm a limit on an official page, the page is marked unverified and states no limit as fact.
Fixes
- Compress lowers the resolution of scanned images and recompresses them. Typed text stays text.
- Split cuts the PDF into consecutive parts, each under the limit, named like
Name_Part1.pdf. - Remove comments and attachments deletes embedded files and sticky notes, and flattens highlights into the page.
Every fixed file is checked again before you download it. Your original file is never changed.
